There is some uncertainty about the identity of Andrew's wife. If I am reading my notes correctly, Torrey, New England Marriages Prior to 1700, has Andrew married to Deborah (Leffingwell) Crow, widow of Nathaniel Crow. However, there is no Deborah among the children of Sergeant Thomas and Mary (Bushnell) Leffingwell in either the Bushnell Genealogy or the Leffingwell Record. Moreover, if the date imputed for Deborah's birth (1673) is correct, it would be pushing the envelope a bit to have her parents married in September 1672 and their son Thomas born on 11 March 1674 -- unless, of course, Deborah was conceived "out of wedlock," which might possibly explain her absence from public (and published) records. According to Ancestors of the Bingham Family of Utah, Deborah was the daughter not of Sergeant Thomas, but of Lieutenant Thomas Leffingwell -- his last child, born sometime between 1660 and 1665. This attribution is based on a will, cited in the Warner genealogy, in which Lieutenant Thomas named Deborah, wife of Andrew Warner. If born between 1660 and 1665, however, Deborah would have been Andrew's senior by eight to thirteen years: not an impossible proposition, certainly, but not probable.
