She and John had two daughters, Susannah and Mary. Judith remarried to Thomas Hicks on 10/21/1731, and Evelyn Hartley's Family History states that Judith and Thomas (Hicks) Hix had 5 children. Judith's father, Capt. John Akin, was appointed guardian for the daughters of her first marriage, Susannah and Mary Gatchel about 1738/39 when the girls would have been around 10 - 13 years old.
