! Joseph HAND was a vessel builder or owner. In 1644, he left Lynn, MA, to go to East Hampton, Long Island and then to East Guilford, (now Madison) New Haven, CT after 1660, and marrying there in 1664. His birth was recorded in Guilford after the move there. This proceedure was often followed. His marriage was also recorded in Guilford records. ! Did Joseph Have A Daughter Named Alice?
Joseph Hand, Jane Wright and their nine (9) children have been documented in historical papers and documents but there is no mention of an Alice Hand. While it is possible there could have been an Alice who died in infancy, it would seem doubtful that there is no record of an Alice who lived to be 39.

Ordinance data taken from the IGI. and the Ancestrial File. There were reports of the children being born in Cape May, New Jersey, Long Island City, Queens, New York and of Lynn, Essex, Massachusetts. This may mean that there were more than one family with parents of this name or that they lived in all three of these places and had children in each place. Needs some more research.
