      "Phelps Family of America" p. 115, #75: Sarah Phelps was born in Windsor, CT 20 Dec 1687. She removed with her father after his second marriage to Hartford, CT. She married David Marshall 15 Dec 1721 and settled in Windsor. He was the son of David Marshall and Abigail Phelps, who was born in Windsor 24 Apr 1692. Sarah died 18 Jan 1736. NOT THIS SARAH PHELPS: According to the book, "Phelps Family of America" this Sarah married David Marshall of Hebron, CT (p 96). However, this page has no further information for this Sarah Phelps or David Marshall. The Sarah Phelps #75 on page 115, the daughter of Timothy Phelps and Sarah Gaylord IS the accurate wife of David Marshall. His parentage is named and their children are listed.

      The "Griswold family" genealogy also states this Sarah born 27 Dec 1679 married David Marshall--and no further information is given (p 29).

      If this Sarah, born in 1679 married David Marshall she is in her 40's having children which is unlikely. The Sarah who married David Marshall is more likely the Sarah Phelps who was born in 1687 and was the daughter of Timothy Phelps and Sarah Gaylord of Windsor, CT. Either way, this gal needs work.
