Died at 'New Filford', possibly meant to be either New Milford or New Fairfield, on his return from the expidition toward Crown Point. Scofield Will dated 26 Apr 1756, proved 3 Mar 1757, named brothers Nathan, David, Peter and John. Also mentioned Ransford Avery, son of his brother, Peter. Nathan and David were named coexecutors.
