Photo Note
The portrait photo currently attached in “memories” on this account (as of 02/24/2020) was apparently derived from the “Find-A-Grave” website where it’s posted as a portrait of Ruth (Howell, aka Hoel) Parshall [1733-1808]. However, Mrs. Parshall’s death pre-dates the invention of photography, so it cannot be of her. I speculate it may be a photo of Mrs. Parshall’s granddaughter, also named Ruth Parshall (Family Search ID KJ4K-RD7; married name was Inscho; she was a daughter of Asa Parshall, one of Ruth Howell Parshall’s sons), who lived 1819-1905 (i.e. during an era when she could’ve been photographed).
