There is a record stating that Joshua Terry and Elizabeth Parshall were sealed on 21 May 1880. This is taken from information received from Nora Hall Lund. Johua Terry was born during the struggle for possession of the Wyoming Valley in Pennsylvania. The settlers had fled in 1763 after an Indian attack, and did not return until 1769. Joshua was born some area where they had taken temporary refuge. His boyhood seems to have been passed in the Wyoming Valley. His name appears on the list of those in Forty Fort the night after the massacre, 3 Jul 1778). Joshua is listed as a member of Col. Nathan Denison's Regiment in a detachment under the command of Col. Zebulon Butler. He would have been rather young (14) to be a regularly enlisted militiaman. Joshua Terry died at age 63, in Palmyra, NY.
