# Note: It would appear from these documents that Mary Budd born Sept. 1654 (STR), daughter of John Budd and Mary Horton, was the 2nd wife of Christopher Youngs, Sr. Her brother mentions her two sons, Christopher, Jr. and John. Yet Letters of Administration were granted to Benjamin his "eldest son", and his widow Mary. So, Benjamin is Mary Budd Youngs stepson. Perhaps the Widdow Martha Moore in the 1698 census just after the Budds was the woman who raised Christopher Youngs, Sr.--------------12 August 1695Whereas my Hon father, Lt. John Budd Of S'hold, County of Suffolk, deceased, did in his lifetime by his last will dated 27 Octo 1684 give and grant unto his daughter Mary, then ye wife of Christopher Youngs half ye lands and meadows belonging to him in Ockabock divisions within ye precints of Southold. Know all persons to whome these presents may concerne that I John Budd, the son of Lt. John Budd do by these presents gie grant and confirm unto my sister Mary Youngs ye widow and ralique of Christopher Youngs deceased, all that part of land and meadows in Ockebauk divisions givien to her by my Hon'd father in his last will unto her ye said Mary Youngs, and her to (sic) sons Christopher Youngs & John Youngs their heirs and assigns forever. Youngs Town ClerkMary Budd born Sep 1654 (STR) married Christopher Youngs. On Sept. 20, 1695, letters of administration were granted on the estate of "Christopher Youngs, Senr., late of Southold in ye County of Suffolk, (who) departed this life ye 31st July, Anno Dom. 1695, (to) Mary ye widow and Benjamin ye eldest son of ye said deceased." And by12 Aug 1695, she is a widow and relict-see above. HER sons are mentioned as Christopher and John on 12 Aug 1695 by her brother, so perhaps Benjamin his "eldest son" was Christopher Youngs' Sr's son by another marriage and her step-son. 1698 census: Mary Youngs Jr. widdowChristopher Youngs Jr., Anna Youngs, Phebe Youngs, Eliza Youngs
