Research results
History and Genealogies of Ancient Windsor has a Bliss family which Mary may belong to. Thomas Bliss came to Hartfor 1639 and died 1650. His widow then moved to Springfield. My guess is that Mary is a grandchild of this couple.

Pioneers of MA by Pope gives date of birth; lists Mary as ch of Nathaniel and Katharine Chapin. Also that the Mary who md. Jospeh Parsons in 1646 may be this Mary. However, this marriage to Joseph occurred before this Mary's birth.
