  Another child listed on Ancestral File: Another child listed on Ancestral File: Elnashan Benson Birth: 1756, Pomeroy, Dutchess, New York Could this be Elnathan? Benson Book A soldier in the Revolution in Albany Co., N.Y. His name does not appear in the census of 1790. It is kown that he lived in Pompey and Fabius in the same neighborhood as his brother Stutson from about 1799 till 1811 at least. His son Benjamin is said to have been born in Pompey in 1799 and his son Stutson born in the town of Fabius Feb. 11, 1811, as mentioned in Stutson Benson's bible. He moved to the western part of the state soon after 1811, where the family broke up. It is not kown what beame of him or the "five older sons". His wife, Ruth (Hammond) Benson, with the son Benjamin and the infant Stutson remained in Niagara County. She died at the home of her son Benjamin February 28, 1845, and is thought to have been 85. The name of the five older sons are not known. Benjamin Hammond Bensen was born July 4, 1799. Stutson, b. Feb. 11, 1811 in Fabius was living in 1836, and is said to have died unmarried.
