Research
It seems that family of John Caldwell appears on the 1675 tax list for Clonleigh, which is near a village named Bally Bogan in Donegal, Ireland. So the kids were born there but parents may have been born in Scotland and moved to Ireland after marriage?
Came to USA by 1688. His names for his land in Maryland suggesting that John was from Ballybogan in the Parish of Clonleigh, Barony of Raphoe, County Donegal, Ireland.
