      1 _AKAN Reverend John Hale Reverend John Hale attended many of the Salem Witch trials and laterwrote about them. His second wife, Sarah, was accused of witchcraft.The charge was so unbelievable that this helped bring about the end ofthe accusations. June 4-Nov 20 1690, he was a chaplain in Philips'expedition against Canada. Ordained in Beverly on 20 Sep 1667 as firstminister. Settled Beverly, MA in 1664.
