By 1649 Lydia Bates, daughter of James Bates; "Lydia Bate" was admitted to Dorchester church about 1638; not seen after the birth of her son. (Margaret Bates, the sister of Lydia, had married CHRISTOPHER GIBSON, who made a bequest to Ebenezer Williams, whom he refers to elsewhere in the will as "my cousin Williams.
