RESIDENCE: Resided in Nauvoo from 1839-1846 (nearly 7 years) Left Nauvoo with Daniel A. Miller Company
HISTORY: Moved with his father and family to Green Twp, Richland, Ohio in 1821 (15 yrs old); resided there until August 30, 1837; joined other Saints and moved to Tenny's Grove 25 miles from Farwest arriving 28th day of October 1837; expelled from Missouri February 8, 1838; stayed in Adams County one year before continuing their journey to Commerce (later to be named Nauvoo), arriving there in1839; resided in Nauvoo nearly seven years. Left Nauvoo February 18, 1846 for Salt Lake taking refuge in Bonaparte, Iowa until January 1847, removed to Garden Grove, then on to Mt. Pisgah February 12, 1847; moved on to Council Bluffs April 27, 1847 , residing there until their journey to Salt Lake on June 6, 1853.
COUNCIL BLUFFS: From the journal of Lewis D. Wilson: On January 20, 1848 a petition was signed by the Saints at Pottawattamie County, Iowa requesting the U.S. Government to establish a Tabernacle Post Office. Signing the petition along with Brigham Young and others were: Bushrod Washington Wilson, Henry Hardy Wilson, Bradley Barlow Wilson, Joseph Wilson, Cyrus Wilson, Charles Wilson, Ephraim Wilson, Lycurgus Wilson, David Wilson, Newton Wilson, Franklin Wilson, Hyrum Wilson, Charles H. Wilson and Guy Wilson.
