      Mary Pitts Griffin sailed for Ameica from Liverpool, England on Monday, April 30, 1866 on the ship John Bright. She was 56 years old. Her husband, William, listed as 52 years old sailed with her along with Caroline, age 21, Walter, age 17, and Thomas just 7 years old. There were 747 passengers on the ship - all LDS immigrants. They landed in New York on June 6th 1866.
      Evidentallythe company stayed together as they traveled to Wyoming (Nebraska) arriving in this place on June 19th. (Mormon Immigration Index) MS, 31:19 (may 12, 1866) p. 296; MS 28:12, p.297.
