      Aug 30 1704 Headright grant of 50 acres for transport of one person. 100 acre "quitrent" plot. Sold Headright of person to George Eskridge Daughter Elizabeth's birth tells us that Stephen must be the oldest son of Robert. 1695 Thomas Heath files a lawsuit against Stephen. No reason given. Dropped. Stephen and John Latham are later shown paying the estate of T. Allison a total of 570 lbs of tobacco. What for? Aug ,10 1704 Deed of land from James Thomas to Stephen. Could be a dowery gift. Indicating Stephens wife is dead. Will written Aug 11, 1731. Filed probate on May 31, 1732. Appointed constable 30 May 1694. Westmoreland County, Va. Order Book 1690-1698. Part Two, p. 89; Part Three, p. 41, appears in court record 1702.
