He Served in the military under the command of Captain Zacharias Hoffman, company located at the Pals. He is listed as Serjs.

1738, he built the stone house that is known as the Evert Terwilliger homestead. It's still standing today about 4 miles south of
New Paltz, located on route 32 south. Years later, some 800 feet from the stone house, new owners built a large, stately, two
story, wood house which became known as Locus Lawn.
