Ira Barret identified as, "a cousin of my son Benjamin [ Boice ] John-Benjamin-William is the son who is a member of John and Nellie Barrett's household on 1819 Loughborough, Canada cenus. John had a brother James , identified in John Boice diary as a brother of John Barrett. James Barrett and wife Debby/Debra are on 1819 and 1851 Loughborough cenus. Luke Barrett also identified as "Ink"in the diary is a brother to John Barrett. Diary of MABarzee state Jesse Barrett h/o Rachel Boice brother of John Barrett. Jesse & Rachel are found on the 1850 cenus but are not found on the 1860 cenus. By 1860 John and Nellie are found residing in Jackson Twp.,Will Co. ILL. ( John, James,Jesse,Luke Barrett are all brothers).
