Only Married to Lorenzo Young
All of the research points to Eleanor being one of 5 wives to Lorenzo Young. There is no record of her being married to anyone else including Levi Richards, however for some reason he has often been attached to her with the same marriage date as Lorenzo.

Hattie Young Sorenson gave this information on the wives of Lorenzo D. Young: Hannah was the weaver, Joanna the seamstress, Ellen the gardener, Harriet was known as "mother in town" and was the boss, Persis was separated.

From the newspaper, Vernal Express Feb. 9, 1912: "Aunt Ellen Young Laid To Rest", Ellen Young died Feb. 3, 1912 at the home of her son E.J. Young, born Sept. 15, 1830, joined the church in Wales, and started for America April 6, 1856 and arrived in the Great Salt Lake in the fall of that year. She married Lorenzo D. Young, had three sons and one daughter. Only two sons survived."For many years she and her children lived at the point of the mountain half way between Salt Lake and Tooele where they operated a large ranch and station. Later they lived at the Young home at 11 E. between 9th and 10th South Salt Lake City until 1897 when they came to Vernal, which has since been their home."

On March 26 1745, Gideon Jones is listed in "ye first company or train band in Saybrook." On May 7 of the same year it is noted that he had the only gun. He seems to have been a favorite with his nieces and nephews for he is mentioned frequently and with great affection in their letters. In Nov. 1815 he is reported to be living and in good health, but on Christmas day of the previous year it is recorded that he is blind. He served in the French and Indian War, being impressed from the company in Hebron, 12th Reg't of Militia, under Col. Jonathan Trumbull, for the quota raised in Oct., 1756. In Aug. 1757 he gave 15 days service in the same Reg't under Capt. Benjamin Day for the relief of Ft. William Henry. The 1790 census shows Gideon Jones of Hebron as head of a family with 2 males over 16, 1 under, and 2 females.

from http://www.breeseusa.org/Sket_Abraham%20PIERSON.htm BIOGRAPHY: Rev. John Pierson spent his early days in Newark, NJ. He graduated in 1711 from Yale College. In 1714, he became the pastor of the Woodbridge Church (First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge). He was 28 years old at the time. His salary was 80 pounds a year. He continued to serve as minister there until 1752. He was one of the first members of the Board of Trustees of the College of New Jersey, which subsequently became Princeton University. He went to Mendham, NJ in 1753, where he stayed for the next 10 years as a minister. He remarried and lived on his wife's farm on Long Island, but returned to New Jersey upon her death and spent the last years of his life with his daughter, Elizabeth Greene, in Hanover.

Pierson Millenium listed that John died
Pierson Millenium listed that John died at the home of his daughter Elizabeth, married to Jacob Greene, in Hanover, New Jersey after a ministry of 56 years. He spent his early life in Newark under the instruction of his father and moved to Connecticut when his family moved back. He graduated from Yale in 1711, and went to Woodbridge, New Jersey to preach in 1714. He continued to preach there until 1752. He was on the first board of trustees of the College of New Jersey. He married Ruth Woodbridge. After his wife's death in 1732, he moved from Woodbridge to Mendham, New Jersey in 1753 where preached another 10 years. He married again to J. Smith and moved to her farm on Long Island, New York. After her death, he returned to Hanover, New Jersey to live with his daughter Elizabeth.

Abraham Pierson Descendants lists John marrying Ruth Woodbridge on 18 Jul 1716 in Piscataway, Middlesex, New Jersey. This source also lists John having children with Judith Smith (Hannah and David), but other sources do not list him having children in this marrige.

See notes under both father and mother relative to information about John. The following came from Smith - Tilton Genealogy (page 293) on internet (www.google.com) related to Abigail Clark. Children of Abraham PIERSON (President of Yale Co) and Abigail CLARKE were as follows: + 17 vii John3 PIERSON, born 1689 in Newark Essex Co New Jersey; died 23 Aug 1770 in Hanover Morris Co New Jersey. He married Ruth (WOODBRIDGE) PIERSON.

His history
John Pierson early days were spent in Newark New Jersey under the instruction of his father. He moved with his father to Conn. and graduated from Yale College in 1711. In 1714 he went to Woodbridge NJ to preach where he was ordained a Presbyterian minister April 29 1717, with a salary of 80$ a yr and the use of the parsonage. He continued in charge there until 1752 when he was dismissed at this own request in consequence of sme difference arising between him and his people. He was however dismissed without the least censure or imputation upon his character or conduct. He was justly deemed and reputed a worthy and able minister of the New Testament sound of faith of exemplary conversation and candor he well supported the dignity of his office and had but few equals in his day in theological knowledge. It was in his time and by his influence that the congregation obtained a royal charter and was incorporated under the name of the First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge and did by their trustees take legal possession of a donation i land made them by the proprietors. He was one of the first board of trustees of the College of New Jersey. He removed from Woodbridge to Mendham NJ in 1753 where he remained for 10 yrs. and preached the gospel. He married again to J. Smith and moved to her farm on Long Island. After her death he returned to NJ. He spent his declining days at Hanover JN with his daughter Elizabeth wife of Rev Jacob Greene mother of Dr Ashbel Greene the 8th president of Princeton College where he died after a ministry of 56 yrs. Mr. Pierson Published a treatise on the Intercession of Christ and a sermon preached before the Presbytery of NY May 8 1751 on Christ the Son of God as God Man Mediator.

He, along with his brother, Nathaniel, were "proprietors" in theConnecticut -Susquehanna Purchase, which included land in what is nownorthern Pennsylvania.

In the year 1762, about the last of August, as he "recollects", he with93 others, including his brother Nathaniel, went to Wyoming VAlley PN."For the purposed of carrying on farming"

They remained only 10 days, finding it too late in the season to beginoperations and returned to their homes until the following season tobegin operations and returned to their ohmes, until the following spring.Early in the month of My 1763, he, with others, returned to Wyoming andbegan work in earnest, making large improvements in what is nowWilkes-Barre, Kingston, Plymouth and Hanover.

In the fall of 1763, Indians raided the pioneers, killing Parshall'sbrother, Nathaniel and about 20 settlers. (The attack was a completesurprise and before they had made a treaty with the Indians in which theyhad agreed to purchase the country. The attack was really a part of the"Pontiac War" of United STates History.

Parshall, wiht his family, went back to New York. The las tof April orthe first of May, 1769, they returned to PN. But, duirng their absence, things had been happening in the VAlley. In 2/1769, 40 CT farmers wentdown into the valley of Wyoming to build a block house, which, from theirnumbers, they called the "Forty Fort."

History has it that Parshall Terry was among the "first forty" men toreturn to the Wyoming settlement in 2/1769.

According to Parshall's diary, he and his family "returned in April orMay 1769".

It is possible that he was one of the reinforcements who came in May.

See Eleazer Cary for the early connection between the CAry and Terryfamily.

Philip Alexander's Father
The Alexander Surname DNA project

https://www.familytreedna.com/groups/alexander-y-dna/about/results

Site shows that Philip Alexander and Nathaniel share the Haplogroup I-L22. This is a strong indication (but not proof) that Philip and Nathaniel are related, most likely son and father.

In addition, the site says one of Philip's sons (David) shares this same haplogroup.

-----

EDIT by another person:
It actually says Haplogroup I-FGC73839 (whether or not that's a synonym).

Also, the site says Philip's son Thomas, Thomas's son Jabez, and Jabez's son Alvah (Alva) share the same haplogroup, too.

If it's true (and I don't know that it is) that the number at the end of each row is a kit number, and each row represents the genealogical information entered by the person with that kit #, then the Nathaniel hypothesis is based on family history done by two people whose kit numbers are 158829 and 351250. If that's correct, then having Nathaniel as the father is only as good as those two people's research (but whoever the father is, the haplogroup should be correct for the correct ancestor of the people who were tested), until we get more testing to show more information. Also, using deductive logic between the collection of rows, it looks like, if we don't have some coincidences, then we can verify that Alva is likely Jabez's son, Jabez is likely Thomas's son, and Thomas is likely Philip's son (or the person they have down as Philip, anyway). Ebeneezer being Thomas's father looks less likely than Philip being Thomas's father. Anyway, we don't really know what Nathaniel's haplogroup is with much confidence until we get a different descendant of Nathaniel's tested (not descended through Philip). We don't know Philip's haplogroup for sure, either, since the tested people were both tested through David's descendants. We can be reasonably sure that the haplogroup does belong to Thomas and his patriarchal descendants, however.

10: 26 Aug. 1758 Philip was killed at Lake George, Warren county, N.Y. while fighting for the British under James Abercromby. He participated in the march on Ticonderoga, (at the northern end of Lake George), on the 8th of July, 1758 when outnumbered French forces under General Montcalm beat off a typical British frontal attack. Administration of his estate granted his son Giles 26 Oct. 1758, his wife surviving him. Probate records of Philip show that he left material things to his grandchildren Jonas, Jeduthan, Phoebe, and Jabez (children of his son Thomas who was killed in war 2 years before Philip was killed). At the end of Boston Transcript record, in notes, it says, "All Philip's children were born in Woburn except Peter, born in 1714 in Charlestown, Mass. which is close to Woburn." This is different from DAR info which states "earlier children born in Charlestown and other in Woburn, although they are all recorded in the latter town." Philip lost 3 sons in wars: his oldest son Philip died in the army at Lake George; his son Thomas who died in Crown Point expedition; youngest son Abraham, who died in the army at Ticonderoga. Another grandson John also fought in the Revolution, but survived. Philip himself died in war. A grandson Jeduthan died in the Battle of Bunker Hill. Another grandson Jabez fought in the Revolution but survived. Other grandchildren and inlaws of grandchildren also fought. In a History of Middlesex Co. Mass. Philip and his wife were mentioned as being among those who "subscribed and assented to the (church) covenant."

Philip Alexander's Parentage
At this time, Philip Alexander (1688-1758) has unknown parentage. The names that were put in this record as his parents are INCORRECT. There is no proof whatsoever that Philip's parents were identified, nor has any evidence of him having siblings ever been presented. According to the research of many Alexander descendants of Philip, they have never found any mention of Philip having siblings. His Will does not mention siblings. I don't know where this information came from or why it has shown up in my family tree, but I am refuting it and I would like it removed.

Life Story with Sources
http://www.tributaries.info/p1527.htm

The soldier who died at Lake George was Philip Alexander, Jr., NOT his father!
Philip Alexander Sr. (born in 1688; married in 1710 or 1711) died in Woburn, Mass. no later than early August, 1758, because the inventory of his property was completed and signed by the appraisers on August 26, 1758. Coincidentally, his oldest son, Philip Alexander Sr. (or possibly the grandson of the same name) was killed that same day in the English campaign at Lake George, New York against French & Indian forces. It would not have been possible for the Court in Middlesex County to have ordered the taking of the inventory prior to the death of the deceased. Therefore the August 26 death date is for the soldier, and not for the 70 year old patriarch of the family, in Woburn.

He was reared in his native town, and the superior educational facilities, which for that period of time, seemed to have improved his penmanship and every type of composition. In his mature years he showed that he had learned beyond the average. Samuel Manning served in many positions in his community, such as Sealer of Weights and Measures, Constable, Juryman, Assessor, Town Clerk, Tithing Man, Selectman and Representative to the General Court. He was a freeman of his colony.
