4260 | William Stone's book full of incorrect data. This family did not come from Holland. Note the source for the immigrant list. This is upheld by data from both Henry Jones and William Barker, who notes that Stone's pre-1800 information is inaccurate. There are other errors that I have personally found such as .... He shows my grandfather as a female named Ellen... and of course, I know personally that this is not the case. His name is Glenn, which I acknowledge that at the time people had rather flowery handwriting and he could have easily mis-read the name. Nevertheless, others have also noted that Mr. Stone's book is less than reliable. https://immigrantships.net/v4/1700v4/simmendinger17100100M_Z.html | Staring, Johann Adam (I312684220356)

4261 | William Thompson baptized the same day as Eliza Thompson There is a William Thompson who was baptized the same day as Eliza Thompson. William is listed as the son of Thomas and Louisa Thompson. Eliza is the daughter of Joseph and Penelope Thompson. Note that Thompson is a common name in the Birmingham area, so there is not necessarily any relationship between these families. However, in case there is a relationship, William Thompson appears at MVZ7-N5S. He is the son of Thomas Thompson (born 1819 in Walsall, Staffordshire) and Louisa Hotchkiss (born 1821 in Birmingham). | Thompson, Eliza Penelope (I312684221765)

Zemira along with his parents Wm Draper Sr, mother Lydia Lathrop, his older brother Wm Jr; his two sisters, Phebe and Lydia, had been baptized in Loughborough, Frontenac County, Midland District, Upper Canada (Ontario) 1833, probably at the Branch organized there in l833. The next early record of Drapers gave that William was made a Priest in Kirtland, by D.C. Smith, (was this his father William Sr or his bro. William Jr?) !28 Mar l836, the Drapers are still in Kirtland & we find Phebe Draper Palmer did receive her Patriarchal Blessing the day after the great Dedication of the Kirtland Temple. !15 Sep 1838, Zemira Draper has married Ellen Agnes Bradshaw, who was b.6 May 1818, New York, They had son, Edward Joseph Draper born 15 Aug 1939, at Pleasantvalle, Pike, IL, but Ellen and Edward both died at his birth time. !By June 1840, we find on the Census of Pike County, IL., #l46 Zemira age 28, with father, Wm age 65, mother Lydia 64, & his nephew, Zemira Palmer (age 9), and he gave he had 2 manufacture & trade (one being shoemaking, he had learned from his uncle, George Palmer Jr, whose wife, #l46, Phebe Draper Palmer with Wm George l9, daus Lydia age 13, & Rhoda age 6. #l49 was his bro.Wm Jr age 30/40, wife & 3 males & l female. 149 bro. Alfred R. Draper with son & dau-under 5, he betw 20/30. In the town library of Pleasantville, Pike County, Illinois, we read in l964 of those saints who came to this area had stored their amunition & held meetings. Here Phebe's son, William Geo married his 2nd cousin, Susan Draper, daughter of granduncle Thomas Draper Jr. !Joy Thomas gave that Susan's father, Thomas Draper Jr. died in Ross Twp, Pike, Illinois in l841. We wonder if Wm George remained there for a time, and assisted Thomas' wife, M ary Mosier Draper with her 3 sons on l840 Census. !From Pike County the Drapers move into Hancock county when the prophet called the saints to come and make their homes like the Spokes on the wheel of Branches & settlements. Zemira with parents & Zemira Palmer lived at Morley; His sister Phebe Draper Palmer (Brown by 28 Aug 1842) was in Bear Creek Branch & shows on the minutes of 2/l845 Conference held there, her daus Lydia, Rhoda & Lovina & Henry Munro with two children, they had come from Sangamon County, first from Loughborough, Canada. Did Wm George remain with his bro. Asahel in Sangamon County, IL? Or did he remain at his gd uncle's Thomas Draper Jr. in Ross township, Pike Co. IL. or with his uncle Marvin Draper in Ross Twp, Pike, IL, pg 96, between age 20/30 with another male listed with him. !1844, his sister Phebe visited Nauvoo temple and was baptised for her husband, George Palmer, on 8 April, to let all know her marriage day & month to George Palmer, but in 1815, at Cramahe, Northumberland County, Canada. !1845, 24 December, his sister, Phebe Draper Palmer Brown, received her endowment at Nauvoo Temple; followed by their parents, Wm & Lydia Lathrop Draper on 25th; Bro.
