Death date
The diary of her grandson says Priscilla (Redfield) Bradley died 23 Feb 1791. I wonder whether the date of death in printed sources as 12 January 1770 is a mistake because that is the date of death of her mother Priscilla (Grinnell) Redfield, and it may have been copied for the daughter.

On April 12 1770 the estate of the mother was distributed with no indication that her daughter was dead. This would be quite strange if she had indeed died on the same day. I suggest that the date in Beriah Bradley's bible is probably the correct one.

QUESTION:

Was her given name Judith or Judah?

--------------------
[Descendants of David Akin on Newport, RI by Robert Larry Akin - akin.GED]

Judith first married John Gatchel who died some time before 1831. She and John had two daughters, Susannah and Mary. Judith remarried to Thomas Hicks on 10/21/1731, and Evelyn Hartley's Family History states that Judith and Thomas (Hicks) Hix had 5 children. Judith's father, Capt. John Akin, was appointed guardian for the daughters of her first marriage, Susannah and Mary Gatchel about 1738/39 when the girls would have been around 10 - 13 years old. [Probate Records, Bristol Co., MA 9:260]

Lois Akin Schultz gives credit to Walter Frank Sedlmayer of Fredonia, NY for much of the research associated with the descendants for Judith Akin Hicks that cite [Some Akin Cousins] as a source.

3918 RE: birthplace shown as Stone Arabia, NY
I don't believe this is correct. The Stone Arabia land patent was not created until 1723 after Indian land was purchased for 300 pounds worth of goods. It is my understanding George did not move with his parents to Stone Arabia until about 1730. Presumably he was born at Schenectady, NY where he was christened, and the family lived there until moving to Stone Arabia, NY.

RE: no death date for George Coppernoll

AFN: 1PQQ-ZR

John Uriah Williams and two of his younger brothers, Ephriam Jesse Williams, and Hyrum James Williams all left Malad, Idaho as soon as they were able to get out on their own. They owned a Freighting and Wild Horse Business in Nicholia, Idaho. They also owned and operated a saloon and gambling place in Nicholia, Idaho.

John Uriah Williams was married to Margaret Pugh on 10 Nov 1879 at Malad. They were the parents of a daughter who died in infancy, and three sons.....John Benjamin Williams, Henry Pugh Williams and Calvin Pugh Williams who died an infant.

After a few years at Nicholia, John Uriah Williams and his brother Ephriam Jesse Williams decided to try their luck in the Copper Mines in Butte, Montana. Word got back to their parents in Malad that they had both been injured in a gunfight and both were seriously injured. Their mother, Jane Emma Merrifield-Williams drove her buggy all the way to Butte to bring them home to Malad. When she got there, John was so critically injured and suffering from small pox that he could not be moved...so she left him there in the care of a friend and she brought Eph as he was called home with her in the buggy. When they got back to Malad, his mother, operated on Eph and removed the bullets.
John Uriah Williams, eventually recovered from his woundsm and his illness and he returned to Malad where he had left his wife and sons. When he arrived in Malad, he found out that his wife Margaret Pugh-Williams had died from pneumonia while he was so sick and no one had told him of her death because of his condition.
John and his two sons, John Benjamin Willliams and Henry Pugh Williams lived in a small log house in the Williams block near his parents home in Malad.
John was known as Uncle John who raised honeybees.
John's youngest Son, Henry Pugh Williams left home when he was seventeen. A few years later he returned to Malad and spent that winter recuperating from a gunshot wound. One day he borrowed $80.00 from his older brother, John Benjamin and he went to town. There was a card game in town that lasted all night. Henry had marked the cards and he won BIG. He had 'Cleaned' the whole town. He left town fast and he was never seen again. This was a sad time for his father.
John died on 15 Aug 1928 at Malad at the age of 73 years. He was a widower for about 42 years.

Rebecca was the daughter of Lientenant John and Mary (Benedict) Olmstead and was born in 1681 in Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut. Numerous members of the Olmstead clan had established farms throughout the Ridgefield-Wilton area in the late 1600s and it is assumed that Rebecca was born and raised in the Fairfield County area. It is recorded that Rebecca's sister Eunice married a Joseph St. John, so it is likely that the Olmsteads and the St. Johns were intermarried during this period. Although genealogists disagree as to the names and number of children they had, it appears that a majority feel that they were the parents of twelve children: Rebecca, Abigail (born 1703, died 1775), Samuel Jr, Joanna, Jane, Perigrina, Noah (my 4th g-grandfather), Daniel, Ebenezer, Abigail (born and died in 1720), Matthew, and Job. There is some question as to the parents naming two daughters "Abigail" and further research is needed. After establishing a farm near Ridgefield and living there for many years, sometime around 1740 they moved to Cortlandt Manor, West Chester (later named Westchester), New York. This is just across the state line a few miles from Connecticut near Norwalk. Both Rebecca and Samuel attended church in S. Salem, New York, again just a few miles from Ridgefield. Rebecca died on 21 July 1752 in Cortlandt Manor, Westchester, New York. Her gravesite has not be located, but family tradition places her interment at Pleasantside Cemetery (now called Lent Cemetery) next to her husband which is located in the town of Cortlandt Manor, New York.

Barent was the only Keysers of the Schoharie Valley, who chose to stay when his parents & siblings moved to Stone Arabia in 1723. It is believed he or his line had a small grain grinding mill on Keyserkill. They may have lived in a small home near the present Breakabeen Bridge & raised a family of 10 children. Barent was a partner in the Borst Patent with his brother-in-law, the Reverend Peter Nicholas Sommers. Barent died after the Upper Fort was started & died before it was completed. His family did use the fort for protection during the revolution. It is thought that Barent married Maria Barbara Berg. Date of her death is unknown. They were both buried in Mann's Flats near Breakabeen Bridge. Field stones are inscribed with their names & set up as markers. In 1976, a replacement/ redone marker that was made in 1941 & donated by the Keyser reunion committee was relocated to a lot belonging to Charles Keyser in Breakabeen Cemetery & that is where it is today. In 1941, when Barent's stone was in need of repairs & it was removed in ordered to be repaired & reset/ Maria's stone marker disappeared.

Please examine the census documents and pictures on grave stones... the name is Barent.

I have added the lineage delimiters (Sr, Jr, III) due to all the mismatches between the Barent Keysers born between 1712 and 1799. There are too many families with the wrong sibling and parents being displayed.
Please examine the lineage and spelling of Keyser / Kaiser / Kayser / Keiser - all derived from the original german spelling of: Kießer.

3933 Regarding "Possibility"
Martha COLLINS died in 1828 in Belmont County. I'm assuming your date was a result of errant fingers? And I'm beginning to believe that we're going to have to wait until we can get information directly from the sources themselves before this quandary will be resolved. At least, there's that hope!

Original temple work done in Nauvoo Temple (historic)
When I first discovered that Brice COLLINS was my 4ggfather, I looked him up in the records at the time. Those indicated that he had been baptized in 1843 and endowed (both by proxy) on 24 January 1846. Kind of sad that those original dates have now been overwritten by more recent ordinances performed in his behalf. Maybe it was required?

Possibility
Although there are no sources for Martha Ann, she died in about 1889l. Ann was born about a year later. Is it possible that Martha/ Martha Ann was the only wife. When Martha Ann died, they named next daughter Ann.

It seems like most if not all the children, were all the children of Brice and Martha/ Martha Ann. Just raising this as a possibility.

3934 Regarding death date
I think that Jacobus erred (typo?) in stating that Ens. Joseph Cooper died in 1747, as his estate was inventoried 13 Dec 1748 per Connecticut, New Haven, New Haven Probate District, No. 3041, FSL #007628557, Image 480-483 of 1449, familysearch.org.
Cooper, Joseph (I312684225477)

3935 Regarding my previous note about Joseph's father
To a large degree, disregard my last assertion that George from England is Joseph's father. Somehow names are not lined up correctly here on family search. It shows Joseph's son being Daniel. Both my great granddads. But under parents it lists John and Ursala Keene Withers or William Allen. Somewhere there is wring information.

My Allen family has his father listed as George who came from England in 1648
There is a book written by the late Robert E. Allen called "Hear ye, Hear ye, George Allen cometh to Virginia from England in 1648" in it, it states that George became wealthy as a tobacco merchant. I believe I have also seen somewhere where a 2nd-cousin of mine has a DNA match to this man named George with the appropriate %. Therefore it is my belief that William is not Joseph's father.

Orange County
There are numerous references to Joseph moving, living and dying in Orange county, NC. Most of his children lived and died in Rockingham county, NC. This can be explained by reviewing the map of Orange County from 1752-1849 as it was formed into numerous other counties.

Marriages
I believe that William Wellman was married only 2 times. The first marriage was to a gal named 'Elizabeth' whom some historians believe had the last name of 'Joy'. His second wife was Elizabeth Bradley whom he married 25 Jun 1730. Some historians list his second wife as Elizabeth Griswold whom he also married 25 Jun 1730 which would be correct but they are using the married name of her first husband Isaac Griswold and not her maiden name.

3947 Removal of Sources with 1843 Death Information
Several sources for what was Israel James Parshall were removed. We have changed the ancestor's name to James Parshall and presently his death date is unknown. Israel Parshall's Revolutionary War pension has an 1843 death date and this is not James Parshall. There will be a very detailed report written about James and added to Memories. In the meantime, Israel Parshall who died in 1843 can be located on person page ID #LZ81-RNN. andrea bartley for kent hatfield (Nov 2023)

Walking James Parshall family through the census records
Please review the professional research report dated Oct-Nov 2023 for details of the census records that James Parshall, Jr. married to Ruhamah Sawyer is found. There are two James Parshall's in Ontario County, NY and one is deceased by 1826. His census trail can also be read in that report. if you have anything to change around, please make sure you put appropriate notes to explain your reasoning for doing so. thank you. andrea bartley for kent hatfield (Nov 2023)

Should James Parshall be listed as Israel James Parshall
We believe we have proven properly that James and Israel are TWO individuals, and also David is another brother. There are other siblings whose descendants are not yet properly traced and documented and hopefully it will be done in the future. Please read the attached report. andrea bartley for kent hatfield (Nov2023)

He was distinguished from his son by being referred to as Sr. Not all records are clear as to which William is referred to in the Town Meeting Notes. Often the date is all that makes it possible to tell the difference. For instance, William Stone was appointed to see that the militia were supplied with 40 pounds of powder and 300 pounds of lead. Judging from the date, this was William Sr. He is also probably the deacon in the church.

He came to America on the ship "Increase" sailing from England on 15 APR 1635. He was 50 years old at the time. His wife Joanne and five children came with him. He settled in Watertown, Massachusetts. Simon's brother Deacon Gregory also came to America on the ship "Increase" to exscape the feudal system and to be free to practice his Puritan Religion. He and others refused to kneel to receive communion by the Church of England. Gregory settled in Cambridge near the site of Havard University.

Thomas Vail inherited and occupied the Point Farm which his father bought from Giles Sylvester Mar 10, 1687. He appears on the roll of the Third Company, Southold Militia, in 1715, as a private under Capt. William Booth. There is a deed on record in which Thomas Vail, blacksmith, on May 22, 1733, sold Joseph Pain one half of the three lots of Land lying near the Great Pond. He probably learned the trade follwed by his father and grandfather. The only child known was his son Stephen.
