Noted to be a "dryer". Listed as a son of James in an entry "fine" of 5 shillings in 1609 and mentioned in the will of his brother's widow. [Phelps-Marshall Kinship, pg. 8]

Prerogative Court of Canterbury, administrations 1611, 04, page 102.
May 31, 1613, commission issued to Nicholas Phelps, brother of William Phelps, late of Tewkesbury, deceased, to administer the goods and chattels of the said deceased, during the minority of William Phelps, his son, by reason of the death of Dorothy Phelps, relict of the said William Phelps, deceased, leaving goods still unadministered.
From this it appears, that James and Joan Phelps had a son Nicholas, not baptized, or at least not recorded in the baptisms, probably accounted for by loss of lines in register.

Birth
History of Woodstock is pretty much silent on vital information on Daniel Bacon. The closest clue we have is that his parents were of Pomfret, and married in Pomfret. Many nFS entries show birth dates of 8 Jul 1717 and 17 Mar 1717, with the most entries pointing towards the latter. Given that a baptism date of 17 Apr 1717 is given, the March date gets the nod.

Mary Royce was alot older than this Henry Dyer who was born in 1693. It appears the two Henry Dyer's have been linked and are from 2 different families. It is unclear which is correct. Daughter Mary Dyer is from Dorsetshire, England, Henry the father from Barnstable, MASS. Alot needs to be proved.
