2731 | Annatie was very prominently recorded in Annatie was very prominently recorded in history in "Women of the Revolution" Vol III, pg. 328. In Spring 1780 Indian hostilities were increasing, murdering town inhabitants on war raids. while her settlement was relatively peaceful, the men were gone and towns people were terrified. She arranged for everyone to hide on an island in the river her husband owend, assuming the raiding Indians wouldn't bother to follow them there. She was right. As soon as they reached the isalns, the y heard the Indian war hoops and screams, burning the empty homes. The Indians did not burn the Van Alstyne home because the chief inferred "Sir John would not be pleased if that house was burned. Let the old wolf keep his den" The Van Alstynes gave shelter to all who lost their homes. Annatie later ministered to the Indians with Christianity, looking after their needs. | Quackenbush, Annatje Nancy (I312684219989)

2735 | Another Joseph This line has gotten confused with another Wilson line. I am desc from both lines. Lucy daughter of Joseph Wilson 1723-1792 married a Ezra Wilson, son of Nathaniel Wilson 1711-1778. Nathaniel is the son of Jeremiah Wilson 1665-1743. This Jeremiah had a son Joseph 1692-1743 who married Rebecca Phelps. Nathaniel and Joseph are brothers. 1750 1750 Source I found Joseph's name from the marriage record source attached to his daughter, Sarah, and her marriage to Samuel Barraclough. ! 2741 | atDNA suggests possible Rhodes /Thomas ancestry My mother's patrilineal line is the Thomas line of NJ Griffith Thomas about 1740 – 1796 • LD7Z-JW9 Other families triangulating on Thomas DNA include descendants of Annie Colpetzer 1790–1844 • KWJ5-ZHR whose grandparents I believe were George Michael Rote 1731–1797 • LZDP-BZD Marriage: 13 Jul 1750 Hunterdon, New Jersey, United States Ann Thomas 1734–Deceased • G88M-PGN we are also triangulating with descendants of Abraham "Abram" Van Horn 1776–1851 • LL4Y-5RL whose mother is entered here as Margaret Thomassen 1750–Deceased • L7G7-35C Therefore, although a DNA match's tree is incomplete, it includes Mary Roads and shares with multiple Colpetzer matches. I suggest Mary may also be descended from Ann Thomas 1734–Deceased • G88M-PGN and a likely lineage would be one of the undocumented sons of George Michael Rote 1731–1797 • LZDP-BZD perhaps Jacob, as Mary's grandfather is suggested in the current lineage. I'm happy to collaborate with DNA or on the Thomas portion of the family so far as I know it. Corinne from des. news 1853 Sister Mary Benson, wife of Jerome Benson, aged 41 years 11 months 7 days, was drowned on the 9th of June, attempting to cross from the bank to a portion of the bridge, on a log. Bro. Alanson Norton was leading her, and was drawn into the water at the same time, and came near drowning. Sister Benson has left eight children and numerous relatives. She joined the Church February 8th, 1832, was driven with the Saints from Jackson County in 1833, and was with them in their persecutions, to the end. She has gone to rest with the faithful, to come forth on the first resurrection. !NOTE: The Church of Jesus Christ of Lat !NOTE: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ancestral File (TM); ; July 1996 (c), data as of 2 January 1996; ; , Family History Library, 35 N West Temple Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84150 USA !NOTE: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ancestral File (TM); ; July 1996 (c), data as of 2 January 1996; ; , Family History Library, 35 N West Temple Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84150 USA !NOTE: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ancestral File (TM); ; July 1996 (c), data as of 2 January 1996; ; , Family History Library, 35 N West Temple Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84150 USA !NOTE: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ancestral File (TM); ; July 1996 (c), data as of 2 January 1996; ; , Family History Library, 35 N West Temple Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84150 USA !NOTE: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ancestral File (TM); ; July 1996 (c), data as of 2 January 1996; ; , Family History Library, 35 N West Temple Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84150 USA !NOTE: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ancestral File (TM); ; July 1996 (c), data as of 2 January 1996; ; , Family History Library, 35 N West Temple Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84150 USA !DEATH: Death certificate.
