Clarence Beebe called her Susannah; however, an article in the Boston Transcripts, 22 Aug 1928, T7419, says her name was Mary. This is primarily base on mention of a daughter "Mary, deceased" in the distribution of her father's estate. This is confirmed by Jacobus in "The Families of Old Fairfield."

# Note: It would appear from these documents that Mary Budd born Sept. 1654 (STR), daughter of John Budd and Mary Horton, was the 2nd wife of Christopher Youngs, Sr. Her brother mentions her two sons, Christopher, Jr. and John. Yet Letters of Administration were granted to Benjamin his "eldest son", and his widow Mary. So, Benjamin is Mary Budd Youngs stepson. Perhaps the Widdow Martha Moore in the 1698 census just after the Budds was the woman who raised Christopher Youngs, Sr.--------------12 August 1695Whereas my Hon father, Lt. And by12 Aug 1695, she is a widow and relict-see above. How Sarah Cornish relates to Gabriel Cornish
Sarah Cornish was born three years after Gabriel Cornish died, therefore, obviously she is not his biological child. Her mother, Mercy Wilcoxson, probably bore her out of wedlock, and because Sarah bears the surname Cornish, which would have been her mother's name as a widow, there is probably not an unknown marriage for Mercy. About 1771, Mercy did marry again to Ebenezer Mudge, and that is the reason Sarah is sometime seen in the records as Sarah Mudge.

The Cornish line came from Lydinch, Dors
